2024 in a spectrum!

The time of the year has arrived when we are ready to welcome a new year and bid farewell to the current one. It’s one of the best times to pause and reflect on the journey we’ve had. This transition is a beautiful reminder of what has been accomplished and what still needs our attention. It’s a chance to relive happy moments, celebrate victories, regret missed opportunities, and, most importantly, plan for the future.

Personally, I believe this is the perfect time to learn from the lessons of the past year and prepare for what lies ahead. For most of us, the new year begins with hope, resolutions, to-do lists, and countless plans. But how often do we pause at year-end to reflect on what we achieved, missed, or need to change? Reflection and learning from the past make for a truly fresh start to the new year.

2024 has flown by like a whirlwind for me. When you're deeply engaged in meaningful work, time moves quickly, and days blur into weeks. This year has been full of important lessons—both personally and professionally. At the start of every year, I try to carry forward the lessons from the one before. 2024 has been instrumental in shaping many aspects of my life.

Professionally, it has been a good year. Personally, while I’ve had some bright moments, there were also challenging patches that taught me invaluable lessons. The hard lessons, though difficult to absorb, are often the ones that help us grow the most. I feel it’s important to note down both good and bad experiences—it’s a simple yet powerful way to learn from them and apply those learnings in the future.

Here are some of my reflections and learnings from 2024:

  1. Consistency is the foremost pillar of success.
  2. Success without obstacles is not a success worth cherishing.
  3. Overthinking is the biggest cause of unhappiness and unproductiveness.
  4. Multitasking is a sheer waste of time. Focusing on one thing at a time is the best productivity hack.
  5. Health is one of the greatest assets. Never take it for granted. Health > Wealth, today and always.
  6. Criticize in private and compliment in public—it works wonders.
  7. Reading is the best way to learn something new independently.
  8. If something is important enough, you do it even when the odds are against you.
  9. Doing is the quickest way to learn something new.
  10. Some people want to see you do well, but not better than them.
  11. Nothing is impossible. If you give your 100%, you can accomplish anything, no matter how difficult it seems.
  12. Simplicity is the key to a happy and peaceful life.
  13. Education does not always equate to intelligence.
  14. Things don’t always work according to our plans—and that’s okay.
  15. Hard work never goes in vain.
  16. Whatever happens, happen for good. Embrace it. It
  17. God’s plan is always better than ours. Believe in it. Everything happens for a reason, and we must accept it with grace.

These are a few reflections I’ve gathered over the year. 2024 might be just another calendar year, but it has left me with experiences and lessons that I’ll carry forward. While there are things I wish I had done better, I’m content with what I’ve achieved—it makes my soul happy for now.

As we step into 2025, let’s carry hope, gratitude, and determination to make it a year to remember.

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year 2025! See you on the other side of the screen!

Best Quote I've had for this year,

“You don't have to be brilliant, only a little bit wiser than the other guys, on average, for a long, long, time.” “Remember that reputation and integrity are your most valuable assets, and can be lost in a heartbeat.” “There's no way that you can live an adequate life without making many mistakes.”

Until next time,
Gaurav

MY COLLEGE JOURNEY

MY COLLEGE JOURNEY As I look back on the years gone by, I can’t be thankful enough for them. Professionally and personally, those are the best years I’ve had. Those college years (2016-2020) gaves me a lots of experiences, a lot of memories, a lots of life lessons, and so on. What did you learnt in those years? Can you describe it in one word? For me it is “GRATITUDE”. I discovered that having a deep sense of gratitude for all that you have in a life is a source of profound happiness. As I started my college for the first time in the month of August 2016. I was quiet afraid as I do not want to go the B.Pharm Degree course. But due to the some reasons I took a decision to go to the bachelors of pharmacy degree. From the very first day of my college admission to the till date the my journey of college was very interesting and distinct. On the 8th of July 2016 I took admission to the KVPS Institute of Pharmaceutic...

Journey of Master's: Lessons and Reflections

“Lao Tzu”, once rightly said, “The Journey of Thousand Miles Begins With a Single Step”   Today I’m at the stage of finishing my master's and heading towards a new phase of my life. I still remember the days when I’m in dilemma about choosing the next path of my career after my bachelor's. As my bachelor degree was nearing the finish, I was quite firm about doing my master as on a distance basis from the same institute. But due to the importunity of family members, I opted to go for the regular mode. I still remember the day when (30/1/2021) when I confirm my admission to the college and started my master’s college on regular basis from 5/2/2021 onwards.  Initially, the college was supposed to be on online mode due to the upsurge in COVID-19 cases. Up to June 2021, things are getting normal back. Due to COVID-19, the exam for the first two semesters of the first year was held in online mode (Sessional exams were offline mostly). As already our year has started quite late due t...

2025: A Year in a Nutshell

The time has come to say goodbye to 2025 and welcome 2026. This is the right time to look back at the year, think about what happened, and prepare for what is coming next. For the last two years, I have built a habit of reviewing my year and learning from it. This moment helps to remember what I did, what I missed, and what I still want to do. I truly believe this is the time to learn from the past and get ready for the future. Reflection is not only about success. It is also about emotions, mistakes, lessons, strength, and growth. So it is important to pause, think, and move ahead with better understanding. Like always, 2025 passed very fast. It feels like it just started and now it is ending. Every year teaches something. Sometimes it feels light and happy. Sometimes it feels heavy and difficult. But every year shapes us in some way. At the beginning of 2025, I had many resolutions. Some I completed, some I could not. That is completely fine. Life does not always follow our plans. Wh...
