Lessons of 2022

Another year has come to an end. December might be the only month on the calendar that reminds us to pause from our hurried lives and reflect on the year gone by. Every year comes with an ocean of opportunities and going by lifelong lessons. Everyone has their ups and downs during the crucial period of an entire year. For someone, the year is full of learning, for someone it may be a year full of success, for someone it may be of failures, but it always gives us something to celebrate and prepare for the good and the worst in the future. It is only up to us to take a break from our hectic lives and think for while about the year that has gone by. This is the only period in the year that gives us chance to relive the happy moments, celebrate our wins and accomplishments, regret the opportunities that have not been taken, and the biggest among them is to, plan the future. So we must take this opportunity to get the lessons from the year gone by, to prepare for the best and worst in the future.

2022 has been a good year for me in various aspects. I have learned a lot this particular year. This is the only time when I used became more committed to particular things. This year taught me many important lessons both personally and professionally. I digest some of them and I find it hard for some to be part of myself. But I believe it's a beautiful idea to note them down and aspire to follow them in the future.

The lessons I mentioned below are part self-reflections, and part observations from this year.

Paulo Coelho the best person happened to this year

  1. Time is money. Use it wisely.
  2. Don’t be available to everyone easily. People even don’t remember you, for what you have done for them.
  3. Learn to say NO, more firmly and more frequently. ( I Failed a lot at this)
  4. Be thankful for everything you have. Especially for your health
  5. Spending an early morning hours in nature has been the best time of my day.
  6. Your inner voice is your biggest weapon. It shapes your confidence and behavior. If you are firmly positive about something then definitely positive things will be going to happen. And if you are negative about something at first then surely negative things will most probably be going to happen. Don’t be your worst critic. (I encounter this a lot).
  7. Every job is ideal in itself. Respect everyone.
  8. Spending on books is worth. Spending on books is not an expense but an investment.
  9. Hard work will always pay off. ALWAYS.
  10. The more you give. The more they try and take.
  11. Regret is way more painful than failure.
  12. Not everyone’s going to celebrate your growth, your transformation, your success. That’s why- you have to.
  13. Multitasking is counterproductive. Don’t fall to it. Give your 100% for a single task. You will be proud of yourself.
  14. Criticize in private, and compliment in public. (learn from someone close)
  15. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take a moment and make it perfect. We all have very limited time.
  16. Reading, Running, Temple visits, and Meditation are the best thing to happen to me in 2022.
  17. Procrastination can have the potential to destroy your future. It is the worst thing that happen to me in 2022. (looking to cope with this in 2023)
  18. Public speaking is my favourite hobby of this year. I have speak a lot and improved a lot.
  19. Imposter syndrome is something that I encounter this year. I still finding a solution to overcome it.
  20. Social media is the real culprit and the best thing at the same time. Be selective in your battles.
  21. Sometimes being selfish with your time is worth. Because lot of people don’t deserve it.
  22. Some people want to see you good, but never better than them.
  23. Online platforms (Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, Medium) can teach you a lot more than a college degree ever will. (Experienced this).
  24. When things start go against you, you realize that who is with you and who is not. You realize that there is one team which is always have your back. You have your people who on your side. Your family is everything and beyond everything. Be grateful for your loved ones.
  25. Live in the present, don’t aim to hit the stars by sitting in the balcony of your happy place.
  26. Doing something is the fastest way of learning it.
  27. If you stick to the particular task and give your 100%. Then you will get it done. No matter how impossible/hard it is.
  28. You are the reason for your results. Don’t blame anyone for it.
  29. You will get what you work for. Not what you wish for.
  30. Don’t forget where you come from. Roots.
  31. If you don’t ask the answer is always NO. Ask for help. Don’t hesitate. (Failed a lot at this)
  32. Education never confirms your intelligence.
  33. Learned from other's mistakes. Life is too short to learn from your own mistakes.
  34. You are nothing without your friends, family, and teachers. Be grateful to them. Appreciate them.
  35. Traveling, exploring to new places teaches you a lot.
  36. No one is going to do it for you. You're on the driver seat of your life. It is your responsibility.
  37. Do not give so much of yourself to the people who will not do the same for you.
  38. There is always something you can do and succeed at. It is just a matter of mindset.
  39. Give > Receive. Focus on what you can do for others, not what they can do for you. Give more than you receive.

How was your 2022?  Do let me know.

Until next time!

MY COLLEGE JOURNEY

MY COLLEGE JOURNEY As I look back on the years gone by, I can’t be thankful enough for them. Professionally and personally, those are the best years I’ve had. Those college years (2016-2020) gaves me a lots of experiences, a lot of memories, a lots of life lessons, and so on. What did you learnt in those years? Can you describe it in one word? For me it is “GRATITUDE”. I discovered that having a deep sense of gratitude for all that you have in a life is a source of profound happiness. As I started my college for the first time in the month of August 2016. I was quiet afraid as I do not want to go the B.Pharm Degree course. But due to the some reasons I took a decision to go to the bachelors of pharmacy degree. From the very first day of my college admission to the till date the my journey of college was very interesting and distinct. On the 8th of July 2016 I took admission to the KVPS Institute of Pharmaceutic...

Journey of Master's: Lessons and Reflections

“Lao Tzu”, once rightly said, “The Journey of Thousand Miles Begins With a Single Step”   Today I’m at the stage of finishing my master's and heading towards a new phase of my life. I still remember the days when I’m in dilemma about choosing the next path of my career after my bachelor's. As my bachelor degree was nearing the finish, I was quite firm about doing my master as on a distance basis from the same institute. But due to the importunity of family members, I opted to go for the regular mode. I still remember the day when (30/1/2021) when I confirm my admission to the college and started my master’s college on regular basis from 5/2/2021 onwards.  Initially, the college was supposed to be on online mode due to the upsurge in COVID-19 cases. Up to June 2021, things are getting normal back. Due to COVID-19, the exam for the first two semesters of the first year was held in online mode (Sessional exams were offline mostly). As already our year has started quite late due t...

2025: A Year in a Nutshell

The time has come to say goodbye to 2025 and welcome 2026. This is the right time to look back at the year, think about what happened, and prepare for what is coming next. For the last two years, I have built a habit of reviewing my year and learning from it. This moment helps to remember what I did, what I missed, and what I still want to do. I truly believe this is the time to learn from the past and get ready for the future. Reflection is not only about success. It is also about emotions, mistakes, lessons, strength, and growth. So it is important to pause, think, and move ahead with better understanding. Like always, 2025 passed very fast. It feels like it just started and now it is ending. Every year teaches something. Sometimes it feels light and happy. Sometimes it feels heavy and difficult. But every year shapes us in some way. At the beginning of 2025, I had many resolutions. Some I completed, some I could not. That is completely fine. Life does not always follow our plans. Wh...
